Scott Hunter uses the medium of papier mâché and mixed media to make compelling creatures and abstract creations that tickle the funny bone and spark the mind. An airborne dragon, a regal mermaid, a winged monster, a brooding moon and other whimsical creatures reflect the magic that Scott feels around him. They pose a fresh world of new forms and firm color, and they touch that part of us that longs for magic, mystery and good-natured laughter.
As a papier mâché artist, Scott explores the use of mâché and other mixed media materials to create unique sculpture pieces that are vibrant and mysterious. New, original pieces are now available. To see current works in person, please look at the schedule for upcoming shows. Currently works are being exhibited at The Family Center, Fusion Restaurant & D’OO Salon - all on Capitol Hill , Washington, DC, in or near Eastern Market. Please contact me or check back for an updated schedule for 2008.
